U13 Girls’ Netball Report
The squad this year had huge numbers, with 36 girls
coming to training one night! The girls are very keen and
have a lot of talent and have done very well in their fixtures
this year. The girls have played against Gillot’s, Wycombe
High School, Wycombe Abbey School, Piper’s Corner,
Godstowe, Wye Valley, St Michael’s and Great Marlow
School. With some strong teams in the league the girls
had some tough games. One of the great achievements
of the A team was to beat Piper’s Corner at the District
tournament to finish 3
rd
in the competition.
Pupils that played this season are: Alys Ramm, Jade Patel,
Bella O’Hara, Charlotte Ward, Ellie Brown, Joanna Tuthill,
Ella Brown, Eden Hudson, Chloe Nicklin, Holly Broyhill-

of everyone) and for a fantastic positive attitude. Bella
O’Hara and Millie Martin for consistent attendance and for
playing so well after being brought into the A Team after
a great performance in the B team and also for a fantastic
positive attitude. Alys Ramm for consistent attendance
and for great improvement across the season.
Many thanks to all the girls for being a great group to
coach and also huge thanks to parent who have helped
with transport to and from matches and support from the
sidelines.

Borlase Rugby
It has been a season of highs and lows for rugby at Borlase.
The new year 7 intake, captained by Ben Allanson, were
low in numbers, something that we will need to improve
in September. They managed an impressive win at
Magdalen College and banked several other tries in an
up and down season. The Year 8 side were the first team
in years to go to RGS and win. They picked up where
they left off from year 7 with some excellent rugby and
development throughout the side. Luke Funnell captained
the side well and if they continue to develop then future
success will follow.
Year 8 Rugby Squad
The Year 9 side got off to a flying start against John
Hampden but a serious arm break for Henry Cromie
seemed to take momentum away from the squad. Despite
this they showed some real determination and quality
every time they ran out with some great captain leadership
from Ethan Bond.
