Rotary Technology Tournament Success
In March of this year, Borlase teams attended the annual Rotary Technology tournament at High Crest school and were
set the challenge of propelling a buggy of their design up an incline, driven by a weight. All of the teams responded well
to the task and worked hard on their designs with varying degrees of success. They were constantly monitored by the
judges, who scored them in various categories.
At the end of a busy day we were delighted that our teams won all three sections. This is the second time in five years
we have won all three sections. Over the five years we have won eleven out of fifteen titles, which is a credit to our D&T
pupils, considering the opposition has included John Hampden G.S, Beaconsfield High, and Wycombe High. The year
group currently Y13 have won their section in all five years, yet none of this year’s winning teamwas in the original team.
