Our new STEM coordinator is Mrs Barclay, and Literacy co-coordinator is Miss Stephenson.
We sent Borlasian reporters to find out the essential facts about them.
What has been your best moment at Borlase so far?
MrsBarclay
: themorningof the STEMfair back inMarch.Therewas an air of excitement and anticipation
in The STEM cell just like Christmas morning when we were 5. The year 7 and 8’s arrived with parcels,
boxes, display boards and plastic bags with all sorts of weird and wonderful things peeking out. I spent
period 1 taking a look and couldn’t believe the variety, quality and attention to detail of the entries.
There were chickens and dream catchers bucky balls and bubble machines, tesil coils, bird boxes,
Archimedes screws, cars, colour sorters and many more. I suppose this was the day that it confirmed in
my mind what a good job I had and that I knew that I would really enjoy myself at Borlase.
Miss Stephenson:
Les Misérables. Surpassed all my expectations and achieved a level of performance
that could have easily been shown on the big screen. Absolutely breathtaking. I was very emotional!
